Dear Visitor: Summer is here with bells on! Whew! it's been hot.The news today says residents are moving out of the area and state. Should it surprise anyone besides the government? Tax rates are high, no preparation for the transition to tech over the last 10 years, blue collar moving overseas, school system ready to be taken over by the state and now a tax on the coin dealers and cigarette smokers. Its the cost of the few being passed to the many. But, it's the place we call home, and we love it. BTW, there is a link to an article as a follow up to the Eminent Domain case ruled on by the Federal Supreme Court this week. The article was published by WorldNetDaily.com. The article link is to the right under the heading " THIS LAND WAS YOUR LAND." It looks as if this issue on the extraction of private property rights, that so many of our forebearers died for, isn't being looked on kindly by the masses. And rightly so, IMHO. Watch out! Your local government might decide that a larger home on your property would constitute a 'better use' to create more revenue and take your property (via the 'New Eminent Domain') and give it to the guy down the street who will do just that. People across this land better wake up to what's happening to the Constitution of this land. It appears the buyers have a bit of an edge in this market as the number of homes for sale has increased substantially relative to this time last year. So buyers, get out there and make your best deals. Long term interest rates are in a holding pattern and at historic lows. The money borrowed today will be paid back in dollars of less value. So a leveraged investment like that of real estate may make good sense. At least that's the way California and Florida see it :) Sellers, as always, check out the "69 Ways to Make Your House Sell Faster". Stop back often. Look around, and take advantage of the Free'Real Estate Classifieds'. New ad layout with photos are available. As always, if you have any suggestions for the future, I'm only an email away.
